Bangalore girl Shubha won the Miss south india 2010 contest

Karnataka Beauty Shubha has won Miss South India at Kochi. Geethu Christy from Kerala and Nikitha Narayanan from Andhra Pradesh were first and second runners-up, respectively.

Sixteen contestants five from Kerala, five from Tamil Nadu, four from Karnataka and two from Andhra Pradesh, participated in the event last night.
The winner received a gold plated crown and a cash prize of Rs 1 lac, the first runner-up Rs 50,000 worth gifts and second runner-up Rs 25,000 worth gifts.

Emthiran (Robo) story controversy

The makers of  blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) are definitely under fire!

After a Tamil writer Aroor Tamilnadan aka Amudha Tamilnadan filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner, claiming that the original story of Enthiran was lifted right out of his short story 'Jughiba', veteran Telugu novelist Mynampati Bhaskar came forward with a similar claim, alleging that the movie is a direct lift from his novel 'Budhi Jeevi', published in 1984.

The Telugu author, who claimed that the makers have copied even the jokes and dialogues from his novel, has already sent a legal notice to producer Kalanidhi Maran of Sun Pictures, director Shankar and hero Rajinikanth. The latest buzz is that Mynampati is demanding a 'mere' Rs. 50 lakhs as compensation for his story and Tamilnadan is demanding double the amount - 1 crore.

Heavy rainfall in Chitradurga, Davangere

Chitradurga district is on news since 3 days be coz of heavy rain fall which not being seen since many decades.
Three persons were killed and about 700 houses were damaged in the heavy rain that lashed Chitradurga and Challakere taluks on Tuesday night. Maize and groundnut crops were washed away.

Many politicians says that they will get this resorvior connected to Bhadra river to solve the water problem but nothing happened.
